For Nick's day off, we went to the aquarium and Fort Fisher. We went with the Garris family from our church and had a great time seeing the sites.
We could not believe how close you can get the to alligators in the tank. They are native here and you can see them from the bridges in the harbor. Yikes. I have forbidden Nick to kayak in those waterways. Can you imagine one of those coming up to your little kayak?
These litttle tree frogs were the highlight. As you can see the top one was trying to get as close to the heat as possible by climbing on his friend. He kept re-adjusting himself to get comfortable. It reminds us of trying to both fit on our couch. We fit together, but barely and one is always uncomfortable.
Cheese!

Meg,
Girl. I so haven't forgotten about the eyeshadow deal we have going on. I couldn't (and still can't) find my checkbook, so I'll bring cash to the shower. I'm SO EXCITED you're going to be here!!!
This summer Hugh, Laney and I will be going to Carolina Beach for vacation with Hugh's family. That's in your neck of the woods. You'll have to come over to the beach house and hang out!!!
I LOVED this aquarium!!! One of our favorites were the tree frogs too! We also loved Fort Fisher. What a wonderful area you live in! I hope we can visit again one day!
So good seeing you yesterday. We miss you around here :)
