This phrase sums it up for us. So love is the constant. He first loved and so gave us the opportunity for life, life eternal. When our faith becomes sight and our hope is fulfilled. Love remains as the greatest. This gospel love is the foundation for our commitment to Christ, His church and the lost world. This love is the cornerstone of our family. May you be blessed by the words contained in this blog as it follows this journey we call life.

Our New Home!

This is our new abode as of February 14th. Please pray for the final paperwork! May He be glorified in this new place as we serve HIM! We have tons of space and expect visitors!

For all who want to see the layout of our brand new home! Here it is!

It is so much more than we thought we would be able to afford. God is so generous to us! It has many perks including a community pool, clubhouse, lake, playing field and grills. The kitchen cabinets are solid maple. It has a two car garage and one of those half moon windows above the office window. A linen, coat, cleaning closet and pantry.

Welcome to Calvary!

These are our huge smiles after being voted in to serve Calvary as both Associate Pastor and Administrator. We were humbled and over joyed. We are confident in our calling here and excited to see all that He has in store. We are enjoying Wilmington and are thankful for all who are praying for our continued transition.

Trenton Baptist Winter Retreat

This past weekend, we headed to Pigeon Forge, TN to do a youth retreat. Jonathan, the youth pastor, (middle on the right) is Nick's best friend from college. Katie, his wife, is beside him and our friend Adam came as a chaperone. Jonathan and Katie have poured countless hours into these youth and we are encouraged by their faithful service. One of our prayer requests upon moving has been for more opportunites for Nick to preach and teach. Last week he was able to study and teach His Word almost more than he had time to prepare. We are grateful for our friendship with Jonathan and Katie and for the opportunity they granted Nick. It was a great weekend and we are prayerful for Trenton's youth that they might remain faithful as many of them head to college in the fall.

A Sweet Visit from Dad!

My Dad came down to visit and we had a wonderful time shopping, touring art museums, walking on the beach, and eating together. He was very generous and treated us far beyond our normal budget restraints. Dad, thank you so much for your generousity. We thoroughly enjoyed your visit.

We were able to enjoy New Year's Day with him and the pastor's family. For all those beach lovers, we live only 15 minutes from the beach. Any body want to come visit? Don't be envious of this particular day, because it was 29 degrees and the wind coming of the ocean was bitter.

Christmas with Cater!

As you can see there was a whole heap of boxes in our home! Cater, my sister, is such a trooper and always comes to help us when we need her the most. She is a great packer and purger.
And the crazy picture of me...so very excited to get my designer red Chirstmas shoes. Cater keeps us in style.
We thoroughly enjoy her and she is a continual blessing. Our favorite gift was "Eddie" who is an orphan from Uganda. She was so generous to get us started on the road to sponsorship for Eddie. A small monthly gift provides his food, shelter, education, and daily discipleship by the local school. We are so very blessed by the work of World Help and are thrilled to partner with them for the cause of Christ. Cater works with them doing humanitarian aid and has a big heart for all the orphans they serve.

Watson, our puppy!

These photos are especially included for Uncle Spence, Aunt Debbie, Sally, Sarah, and Sadie. As you can see Watson especially loves basketballs and his new yard. Enjoy! We love you all!
